I am on OPT F1 employed and in the process of getting H1B visa. Please advice which health insurance plan I can get.

Although it is recommended to purchase the insurance if available through your employer, you may purchase a short term medical plan as well, such as the National General plan. This plan is state specific and will not allow coverage in every state. It also has restrictions on the duration you can have the insurance. Keep in mind that all the plans on the market will cover the same things. They will cover the new illnesses and injuries that manifest in the body after the effective date of the policy.
